The band was living on board and working around the clock to produce fresh, "deadline art"-inspired shows every night during the festival week. The shows involved tons of music, poetry, invited guests, multi-media, a newspaper and lots of fun.

Søyr in NRK-81

In this recording for NRK Radio in 1981, saxophonist Nils Jansen and trumpeter, composer and arranger Kenny Wheeler are at their very best, both being featured extensively in these takes. Sadly, Søyr didn't make records during Wheeler's period with the band, so this is one of very few recordings with him and Søyr.
