Here it is - Søyr all at once and in all its diversity.

Torgrim Sollid speaks in this interview about the start of Søyr and the very first years back in the seventies. What inspired him and who influenced this very unique band?

Journalist Terje Mosnes followed and wrote about Søyr for many years. In this interview he reflects on the band and its significance.

The poet, architect and essayist Torgeir Rebolledo Pedersen, together with Niels Fredrik Dahl, performed with Søyr 1995 - 1999. Here he talks about that experience and the relationship between jazz and poetry.

In this recording for NRK Radio in 1981, saxophonist Nils Jansen and trumpeter, composer and arranger Kenny Wheeler are at their very best, both being featured extensively in these takes. Sadly, Søyr didn't make records during Wheeler's period with the band, so this is one of very few recordings with him and Søyr.
